Training for Mental health professionals

Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy Training

This nine-month Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Training is designed for mental health professionals who want to specialize in the complex and rewarding work of supporting young people. The course explores the specific developmental, relational, and emotional needs of children and adolescents, equipping participants with skills in play therapy for younger clients and effective relational approaches for teenagers. It also addresses sensitive clinical areas such as neurodivergence, self-harm, suicidality, eating disorders, and addictions.

A strong emphasis is placed on safety considerations, including risk assessment, safeguarding, and ethical practice when working with this vulnerable population. Equally important, the program highlights therapist well-being, offering reflective spaces and strategies for self-care, resilience, and sustaining meaningful practice. Through a blend of theory, experiential learning, and clinical application, participants will build confidence and competence to provide developmentally attuned, ethically grounded, and compassionate psychotherapy for children and adolescents-while safeguarding their own professional and personal balance.
